Breast Imaging Fellowship

The Department of Radiology at Northwestern Medicine offers one-year Advanced Specialty Training Program (ASTP) fellowship positions in breast imaging at the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center (LSCBC). Fellows are appointed to the full-time coterminous faculty of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine as an Instructor of Radiology for a term of one year. This appointment is non-tenure-eligible and is coterminous with the ASTP fellowship program. Fellows will receive training in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast magnetic resonance imaging and all image-guided interventional techniques. Attendance at weekly multidisciplinary breast conferences and radiology pathology concordance conferences provide a comprehensive clinical perspective on breast cancer care. Training is also enriched by a formal didactic lecture series, M&M conference and Journal Club. Rotations in breast pathology, breast surgery, radiation oncology and medical oncology will be provided to ensure that the fellows gain experience in these closely related specialties, with rotations tailored to the individual’s interests.
