Portable CT provides high quality brain imaging at patient's bedside

Portable multislice CT scanner provides cutting edge imaging at the patient’s bedside in the neurosurgical intensive care unit. The new portable multi-slice CT scanner at NMH can perform high quality scans of the head without the need to transfer patients to the radiology department. Multiplanar and 3D image reconstructions can also be performed on the scanner console. Images are transferred to PACS via the hospital network for interpretation by the neuroradiologists.
