Residency

Northwestern Radiology offers a four-year residency in diagnostic radiology that combines patient care, study, and research. The program encompasses all aspects of diagnostic and interventional radiology, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, pediatric imaging, vascular radiology, women’s imaging, and ultrasound.

Medical students

The Department of Radiology provides many opportunities for medical students to learn about our field, as well as conduct research.

As Medical Imaging has become more central to the practice of medicine it has become increasingly important for medical students to be familiar with the basic principles of radiology, the different imaging modalities available and how they can be best utilized, as well as the role imaging holds in the current medical system.

Research Programs

Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine provides a unique opportunities for student to participate in the Research Thesis Program and in the Summer Research Program. Eligible students will develop the discipline to perform research using the scientific method, as well as become familiar with the challenges and obstacles to performing good research.
