Northwestern SMaRT - TECH SMaRT Courses 2008
The Department of Radiology is pleased to announce its magnetic resonance training curriculum for physicians and technologists. The course we are offering is TECH SMaRT. Future courses include ANGIO SMaRT, BODY SMaRT, BONE SMaRT, and NEURO SMaRT.
SMaRT Mission Statement
We strive to educate medical professionals by teaching clinical magnetic resonance imaging applications through a series of dedicated courses that utilize didactic lectures, simulator sessions, and actual clinical demonstrations taught by experienced professionals.
SMaRT Vision
We will provide a family of courses and a teaching environment conducive to the optimal learning experience of both technologists and practicing physicians. Despite our SMaRT name and our CARD SMaRT beginnings, the training we provide will eventually become multimodality in its scope.
Target Audience
The SMaRT course is intended for physicians and technologists who currently practice or seek to practice magnetic resonance (MR) imaging at the highest possible level of proficiency. It is optimal when a pair, consisting of both physician and technologist, attends the course together however this is not mandatory. We also provide TECH SMaRT courses specifically designed for advanced MR technologist education.
